History

Sigma Kudos is a leading, global supplier of technical documentation, with operations in Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Ukraine, and China. Sigma Kudos was established in 2007 following Sigma’s acquisition of the Kudos subsidiaries.

 

Currently, the company employs over 650 specialists within the fields of technical and product documentation, and related services such as embedded design and information management. 

Sigma Kudos was created in 2007 following Sigma’s acquisition of Kudos subsidiaries.

 

1994 - Sigma Information Design started, providing information development services.


1997 - Sigma Information Design was created as a separate company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sigma AB.

 

1998 - Sigma Information Design expanded in Malmö and Växjö, Sweden.

 

1999 - Kudos Partnership Ltd. expanded in Grenoble, France, following an outsourcing contract with Hewlett Packard Telecommunications Division.

 

2000 - Sigma Information Design acquired Infohouse, resulting in expansion in Karlstad, Sweden.

 

2001 - Kudos Information Ltd. was created from Kudos Partnership Ltd, and soon expanded in Helsinki, Finland and Budapest, Hungary. An acquisition of the US company Broadvision Inc. also resulted in expansion in the US.

 

2002 - Sigma Information Design acquired Improve, leading to further expansion in Växjö.

 

2004 - Kudos Information Ltd. expanded in Debrecen, Hungary.

 

2006 - Sigma Information Design expanded in Beijing, China. In addition, this year the company also acquired the Ukrainian company Eclipse SP.

 

2007 - Sigma Information Design acquired the European subsidiaries of Kudos Information Ltd, forming Sigma Kudos AB. The same year Sigma Kudos expanded in Karlskrona, Sweden and Shanghai, China.
